Kimberly Carstens 鈥�16, DDS, is a second-generation Panther and owner of Family Dental Care of Massapequa. She chose Adelphi for its dual degree dentistry program and family legacy鈥攁nd now leads a thriving practice. Her advice to students: follow your goals with clarity, intention and pride in your roots.

Mary Camarano 鈥�17, DMD, is lead associate dentist at a private practice in NYC. A former NE10 champion and Honors College alum, she mentors future dentists, lectures on post-grad success and volunteers in her community. She credits Adelphi with giving her the foundation for both academic and professional excellence.

Beth Ann Balalaos 鈥�15, MA 鈥�16, is access and inclusion program director at the Long Island Children鈥檚 Museum. A champion for disability inclusion and social justice, she credits Adelphi for igniting her advocacy journey. She speaks nationally on accessibility and serves on state and local boards advancing equity in cultural spaces.

Herbert Liberman 鈥�61 has spent a lifetime chasing possibilities and turning bold ideas into successful ventures across education, business, nonprofit and beyond.

An educational experience abroad is an invaluable one, and no one understands that better than Anastasia Dakis 鈥�22. She spent seven days performing optometry services in Senegal, a country in West Africa.

Arvind Kajaria 鈥�87 came to Adelphi from India in 1985, and what he experienced as a student at the University was truly eye-opening. Since earning his bachelor鈥檚 degree in business, he鈥檚 applied what he learned both in and beyond the classroom and established numerous businesses, including one of the world鈥檚 largest ecard websites, 123Greetings.com, Inc.

The new collaboration of Adelphi alum Chuck D 鈥�84, 鈥�13 (Hon.), with Flavor Flav is featured after the surprise reunion of Public Enemy, which was born at Adelphi in the 1980s.
